The fish in these waters include Albacore Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Striped Bass, Bluefish, Cod, Scup (Porgy), Tautog, Black Seabass, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your vessel for the day is a 38' Bertram sportfisher with capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. In addition the boat is equipped with a state of the art Seakeeper gyro that stabilizes the boat and makes fishing that much more comfortable. This unit takes the rock and roll out of a vessel and is a true game changer! Capt. Creed will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We had the best half day excursion with Captain Creed and Chris! Even with a ton of boats on the water for Father’s Day, they ensured we stayed ahead of the masses and knew all the best fishing spots throughout the sound. We got to try different types of poles and baits and had a variety of catches! The boat is spacious and comfortable — a perfect day out for fishers and spectators alike!

One of the best crews around. Captain Creed and Chris where phenomenal. Well oiled machine. We manage to catch a substantial amount of fish. couldnt ask for more. Great day on the water. Thank you again Captain. We Highly recommend Captain Creed and the Bushwacker. He will not disappoint. Great attitude and a spotless boat. What more can you ask for.

Our group learned so much from Captain Creed and his mate, we caught some massive striped bass, and had an amazing time. Highly recommend if you're a first timer, or an experienced angler. They're very communicative before, during, and after the charter and work really hard to accommodate you and make sure everyone catches something. We can't wait to rebook!

This was supposed to be a striped bass charter that I flew in from out of state to do with my family. The Capt said striper fishing was "inconsistent" and pushed for black fishing. We were disappointed but understood this was the nature of fishing and reluctantly agreed. The black fishing turned out to be pretty slow but the Capt and mate put the extra time and effort into catching them, which helped make up for missing out on the striper. The Capt had said he didn't want anything extra for the charter, he just wanted us to take care of the mate so we added an extra $30 to the high end of the normal and customary tip. We thought we were being good sports about the whole thing so we were taken aback when we were at the dock and the Capt started pushing for more tip money, and then hit us up for an extra $50 for the charter. Not cool Cap!
David, We’re disappointed to read this review, particularly given the lengths we went to in an effort to provide your group with a great day on the water. Prior to your charter, we discussed the striped bass fishing conditions and explained that it would make the most sense to target blackfish. We made it clear that if this wasn’t the experience you were hoping for, we would completely understand your decision not to proceed. You agreed and chose to move forward with the trip. The $50 referenced in your review was a fuel surcharge communicated in advance, not an unexpected charge added at the end of your charter. Given the circumstances of this particular trip, we extended your charter by approximately four hours at no additional charter cost, made an additional effort to target striped bass near the dock, and ultimately sent your group home with a substantial catch, including the catchina a big striped bass you had originally hoped for. We recognize that a private fishing charter is a significant investment, and we don’t take that lightly. Fishing is inherently unpredictable, and while we cannot control which fish are biting, we can control the effort, preparation, and dedication we bring to every trip. We believe strongly in treating both our customers and our hardworking crew fairly.
