If you plan on fishing in New London, look no further than Sound Charters.
The fish in these waters include Albacore Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Striped Bass, Bluefish, Cod, Scup (Porgy), Tautog, Black Seabass, and more if you cast your line at the right time of year. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your vessel for the day is a 38' Bertram sportfisher with capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. In addition the boat is equipped with a state of the art Seakeeper gyro that stabilizes the boat and makes fishing that much more comfortable. This unit takes the rock and roll out of a vessel and is a true game changer! Capt. Creed will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

They went the extra mile to please us this week the fish biting was slow all week he tried extra hard to go out of his way and bring us places nobody else went and we ended up catching over 40 fish sea bass on a five hour tour. We ended up with seven great keepers was a fantastic time. Highly recommend him he will work hard for you also he had a Gyro, which balances the boat in the waves I’ve never seen that before. What an incredible idea so it was so steady please don’t hesitate book him !

5 Hour Trip – Inshore on May 25, 2025 • 6 adultsBooked with Captain Creed and his mate Chris for Memorial Day weekend 2025 for a guys weekend stripped bass charter. These guys were Great! Put us right on the fish and gave us more than a few chances. We connected with a keeper and bunch of monster fish that were too big (not a bad problem to have). Captain Creed and Chris were fun to be around and helped coach the folks in our group well. Thinking about future charters with Captain Creed for the guys! Absolutely recommend. 10/10 would run it back again. Thanks for everything!

One of the best crews around. Captain Creed and Chris where phenomenal. Well oiled machine. We manage to catch a substantial amount of fish. couldnt ask for more. Great day on the water. Growing up on Long Island sound I have been fishing these waters for over 20 years. After mating for a good captain and friend I decided to fullfill my passion to fish and teach by acquiring my 100 ton master credential and start a charter of my own. We take pride in our boat and gear, keeping everything well maintained and updated as necessary. As a teenager I started fishing for bass in the sound and shark and tuna off shore. My passion has lead me to prefect all types of fishing and continue to learn and teach. please feel free to inquire if you have any questions about myself or the charter.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
