All American Guide Service invites you to experience the stunning waters of Portland on the Willamette and Columbia Rivers.
These waters are known for Sturgeon, Salmon, Shad, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. We have options for Spring Chinook Salmon, Shad and Oversized Sturgeon (catch and release).
You can keep some of the fish you catch, assuming regulations allow it.
Trips with All American Guide Service are kid-friendly, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be fishing aboard a 26' Edge Marine sportfishing boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures.
You need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. We will determine target species prior to your trip.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

If you’re looking for the best fishing guide in the Portland area, look no further than Dave. From the moment we stepped on the boat, he made us feel welcome and shared an incredible amount of knowledge about salmon fishing, the river, and the local area. On top of that, he’s just a genuinely fun person to spend the day with, his stories alone made the trip unforgettable. The fishing was fantastic. While many of the other boats around us weren’t catching much, Dave put us in the right spots and both my girlfriend and I landed salmon. Even more special, my girlfriend, Karuna, caught her very first fish ever! That’s a memory we’ll have for the rest of our lives, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide to make it happen. A huge thank you as well to Dave’s wife, who was incredibly kind, organized, and made the entire experience seamless from booking to the end of the trip. This was easily one of the highlights of our time in Portland. If you’re considering a guided fishing trip, book with Dave, you won’t regret it. We’ll absolutely be back!

Captain Jason is a real gem to fishing. It should be illegal to have so much fun fishing. You will be entertained guaranteed no matter if fish are caught or not. Jason puts on a fishing clinic, just a wealth of experience. I can't wait to come back in August. Hell I'm thinking about moving to Portland! Thanks Captain Jason for a great time. And to all, "No Bananas on his boat." Pickles are encouraged!
