Itzu Sport Fishing & Tours offer some of the best fishing and leisure charters running out of Puerto Vallarta. From a sunny day cruising around some beautiful beaches for a bit of fishing and snorkelling, to a 12-hour marathon heading 50 miles out to El Banco - one of the best big game spots in the whole of western Mexico - to do battle with giant pelagics and monster Tuna, Itzu are the guys to go with.

Their 30 ft Mazaltán center console was fresh out of the box in 2023, and comes fully rigged for an amazing fishing experience with GPS, fishfinder, outriggers, fighting chair, Tuna tubes, live bait tank, and the latest in high quality Shimano rods and reels, tournament grade lures and custom built spreader bars. These guys pull out all the stops to help you land the monsters of your dreams.

Captain Jordan Brakefield is a professional and hard-working captain with a wealth of experience and local knowledge at his command. He and his highly-skilled first mate will work tirelessly and happily to make your trip as good as it possibly can be, no matter what you want from it.

All Itzu trips come with fishing licences for all on board and a complimentary filleting and bagging service for anything you want to take away with you.

Great Day on the Water

Yelapa Combo Tour Fishing, Snorkel. on January 14, 2026 • 2 adults

Unfortunately the fish werent biting but we still had a great time. The crew was very proactive and made several changes in an attempt to attract fish. They were also in touch with other fishing boats in the area and it seems that very few were catching anything. Eventually we decided to head to Yelapa to relax and have some drinks. The Itzu was in great conditioned and well equipped. We will definitely rebook for future trips.

Tuki and Chui - awesome guides, awesome people

Full Day Offshore Big Game Fishing on January 4, 2026 • 4 adults

These guys were excellent! So nice, jovial, accommodating, knowledgeable, anticipatory of any need, AND we caught many small tuna and one huge 70lb sailfish when many charters were striking out today. They offered chicken tacos in the morning, fresh ceviche with the tuna we caught, and filleted all the sailfish in custom portions in ziplocks to conveniently take after the trip! Highly recommend Itzu and Tuki and Chui!

We are from salem Oregon and have never been to Mexico before. Jordan was an amazing and professional blessing! He took the best care of us in what could have been stressful and unknown. Alberto and Chino were the best people to be around and the 3 of us that went with them had the best time ever! the boat was amazing, the atmosphere was incredible and while the fishing was slow on our day, we still did much better than other boats. we did a 5 hour trip and still hooked 3 mahi mahi and lots of Bonita, I cannot wait to book my next trip! Such a great trip!

Jordan's nephews took us (a group of 4) out on a 6hr fishing trip in the bay. We left the marina at 7AM and fished the bay for 6 hours. We caught a small grouper, a small tuna and 5 mahi mahi!!! SO much fun to fight and reel in! The crew were obviously very experienced, knowledgable and fun. They filleted the mahi mahi for us and made ceviche on board - so fresh and delicious!! The boat was also immaculate! They even arranged for sea tutrles and whales to show up - a great touch ;) It really was a wonderful day, thank you all so much!

Great day had by all!

3/4 Day Fishing Inshore / Offshore on September 3, 2025 • 5 adults

Had a great trip with Captain Alberto and Gabriel. We were a group of 6 and they work really hard to put us on to some great spots to try for bigger fish that kept evading us but ultimately each one in our group caught 2 fish (skipjack tuna). As mostly beginners, this exceeded our expectation. The ceviche Gabriel prepared right on the boat, with fleshly caught tuna, was a delight and just the cherry on top for our entire day. We would definitely book with this crew again.
