Captain Tilly OC Charters
If you are looking for a bit more of a personalized Inshore/Nearshore, Light Tackle fishing experience, Capt. Tilly OC Charters is it! With a charter capacity of 2-3 anglers, you get more of a hands-on experience, compared to a boat load of anglers lined up elbow to elbow, "full rail" style, with all the tangles (and cussing) that type of fishing brings.
Your fishing machine for the day is the Wedgie², a 23' Panga Marine center console, with a 140 hp. Suzuki engine. Pangas are internationally acclaimed as being an exceptional fishing platform, known for their stability, sea worthiness, shallow draft, and efficiency.
During the main Summer months, Flounder fishing is Ocean City's mainstay. Capt. Tilly is locally known for Trolling for Flounder, a technique shown him by old time locals many years ago. Not only is this method a proven fish catcher, but it also enables the Wedgie² to get away from the packed channels and boat traffic, to the more quiet areas of the bay. Areas, that have not had ten's or hundreds of boats constantly running over the fish and spooking them in the channels.
Quality rods, reels, and tackle are available for you, along with live and/or dead bait.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them, size, and creel limits. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don't forget to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Captain Tilly OC and get hooked!

Slow day on the water, but we still managed to catch fish. The captain was super knowledgeable and grew up fishing and surfing the area, which made the trip even better. The boat is perfect for a duo comfortable, fun, and very affordable. We even got an extra 45 minutes of fishing time, which was a great bonus. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be coming back with my dad in the fall! Thank Captain Tilly

Thanks so much! I enjoyed having you and Anthony on board! Next time! Have fun tonight!
We had a great day today! Fishing is a great way to spend a couple of hours if you are in Ocean City. I am a fishing novice. The captain was super patient and willing to teach my son and I what to do. He even filleted the fish for us and shared the best way to prepare it.

Fishing was great. Chris is an experienced fishing coach and all in all a great guy. Definitely plan on doing that again.

Had a blast with Captain Chris. Very knowledgeable and easy to learn from. I wish I had booked more time.
I'm a nearly lifelong angler, having started fishing in South Florida when I was about 8 years old. My main inspiration came from my mom and her close friend, Charlie Hayden (Charlie is enshrined in the International Game Fish Association's Hall of Fame), and their circle of friends. With them, I fished Offshore in Florida and the Bahamas. And, I fished Inshore in Palm Beach, Ft. Laud., and Miami, SW Florida, the Keys, Lake Okeechobee, and the Everglades. Having been from Ocean City originally, I spent my Summers, and most all holidays here in OC. My first boat was a wooden 12 skiff with a 9.9 Evinrude when I was 12 - 15. I learned from a number of the locals here, and started doing pretty well on the Flounder, Croaker, Crabs, and Clams. From there, the teenage years, school, and surfing kinda took over, and it wasn't until I graduated from FSU and returned home to OC, that the fishing bug started to get me again! However marriage, kids, and career (and surfing) meant limited, although productive time on the water, fishing on friend's boats, from the Rt.50 Bridge, and a lot of other land spots that are now inaccessible. By the early 90's, I had completely rebuilt a 1968, 15' fiberglass boat into the first Wedgie (named for the surf break next to the inlet jetty at the North end of Assateague Island). That boat became a fish catching machine, and my main fishing partner and I were on it! However, after almost 22 years with the original Wedgie, I needed something bigger! After having traveled throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, and the tropical Pacific, and fishing on these familiar looking boats, I kept coming back to the Panga. I found Panga Marine, Inc. out of Sarasota, FL., and the result is The Wedgie²! With The Wedgie², I've fished from the Old Grounds, Bass Grounds, Jackspot, Winter Quarter Shoals, and all around the Eastern Shore of MD and VA's Seaside and Chesapeake Bay, catching just about all of the main species our region is known for! I've also trailered to the Keys twice, and numerous trailer trips to coastal North Carolina. Having retired from my 'real job' in early '23, and wanting to keep moving forward with my lifelong desire to fish, I got my 6 pack Captain's License, my MD Guide's License, and I'm ready to share some of this knowledge and experience with you!
