Depending on the season, you might hook into Snook, Redfish, Speckled Trout, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Hogfish, Mangrove Snapper, and who knows what else!
LanierSpots Gulf Charters welcomes kids aboard, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your boat for the day is a 25' Tidewater bay boat with space for 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Ryan will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is also included.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Nearshore trips are weather permitting and always inside 10 miles from the coast. We also cater our trips to your needs. Just tell us what you would like to do on your trip.
We are also doing sandbar trips for the family as well as sunset cruises from Anna Maria Island to Sarasota Bay. We can incorporate this into your fishing day if you like. Just ask.

We had an absolutely incredible day on the water with Captain Ryan! My family was down on vacation and 3 of us took a trip with him and we caught so many fish! Ryan was hands down the best captain we’ve ever had. He was knowledgeable, fun, and made sure we were on the fish at all times. He kept us in the action and made the whole day a blast. He supplied all the fishing equipment, bait and tackle and we just showed up ready to embark. We even took home our catches already filleted by Ryan and ready to enjoy. My family loved it so much they were already discussing another booking on our way to the car. We can’t wait to book another trip with him!

Captain Ryan did a fantastic job assisting in a great family experience! My son daughter and myself went out with Ryan for the 1st time today but wont be the last. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a captain who will work hard to get you on fish and have fun doing so. We were on a 4 hr inshore and caught tons of fish to include Sheeps heads, snapper, sea bass, trout, flounder, tons of grouper & lady fish. We went home with great table fair and tons of good memories. His boat was nice, comfortable and well stocked with what we needed. Ryan was fun to share fishing stories with!

Captain Ryan is the best, he is friendly, helpful, informative and a true professional! He put us on fish fast and consistently!! He was super helpful for the first time angler we had and made the whole trip fun for us. He provided all of the drinks and even had sunblock that he offered. We had a ton of bait ready to go and plenty of rods & combos set up to fish all sorts of species. I will never use anyone else in Sarasota other than Captain Ryan. He made the whole trip for us, thanks Ryan, I cant wait to see you on the next trip out!!

We booked a trip for my dad’s birthday and had an amazing time—we caught plenty of fish! Ryan was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and made the entire experience enjoyable while teaching us a lot along the way. We highly recommend him and will definitely be booking another trip in the future. His charter is perfect for guests of all ages!

Best trip ever! Captain Ryan Coleman was great. He made it a priority for my grandsons to catch fish. They are 7 and 13. They had a great time. Captain Ryan was attentive making sure everyone always had bait on the line and he had really good bait. I would recommend him highly. Probably gong to book again next year.

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
