Alaska Fly Fishing Tours - Drift Boat Guides
Make an adventure out of your next trip in Cooper Landing and go fishing with Alaska Fly Fishing Tours. Captain Grant will be your guide, allowing you to benefit from his angling experience.
Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Ray, Dolly Varden, Salmon, Coho Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Grayling, and more could be what we fish for, depending on the time of year.
Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself fly fishing and drifting on the Kenai River for Rainbow Trout or Dolly Varden or Salmon. Capt. Grant also offers fly fishing instruction and you may bring your own fly gear, alt though all the gear is provided if needed
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea for a boost of energy when needed!
Our guide boat is a 18' Drift boat with capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
Capt. Grant will supply rods and reels for you if needed, along with all the flies and lures..
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Alaska Fly Fishing Tours!
