Ready to catch some fish in Oceanside? Hang Zen Surf Sea is your ticket! Your guide for the day is Captain Scott, so you'll benefit from their professional experience.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into White Bass, Skipjack, Calico Bass, California Sheephead, California Corbina, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish, Mako Shark, Yellowtail Amberjack, Yellowfin Tuna, and anything else that bites.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Trips with Hang Zen Surf Sea are open to the whole family, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll be casting lines from a 24' Sportfishing with room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials.
Capt. Scott will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Hang Zen Surf Sea will make it easy for you to go fishing in Oceanside. So, how about booking that trip?

Highly Recommend Scott! Put us on fish and was great with the Kids.

Thank you so much for the 5-star review, Christopher! It was a pleasure having you, Judson, and Vance aboard. Watching the boys catch fish and seeing everyone have such a great time made for an awesome day on the water. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to fish with your family again soon. Tight lines!
