Ready to experience some of Cape Town’s most exciting fishing waters? Step aboard with Hey Charlie Charters for a professionally guided offshore adventure with Skipper Gareth.
With extensive experience along the Cape coastline, Gareth knows these waters, their changing conditions and the fishing grounds where some of the region’s most sought-after species are found. Depending on the season and conditions, you could target Yellowfin Tuna, Kob, Yellowtail, Snoek and other offshore game fish.
Your trip may involve trolling, spinning, popping, bait fishing, or other specialised techniques, depending on the target species and conditions on the day. Whether you’re an experienced angler or picking up a fishing rod for the first time, the crew will be there to help you get involved and make the most of your experience.
Families and children are welcome. Please confirm the ages and sizes of younger passengers when booking so that suitable life jackets can be arranged. You’re welcome to bring snacks and refreshments to keep everyone comfortable throughout the trip.
You’ll be fishing aboard Hey Charlie, a powerful 26-foot offshore sportfishing vessel built for Cape waters. The boat accommodates up to 8 guests and is equipped with essential safety gear, quality fishing equipment, and an onboard toilet for added convenience.
Rods, reels and tackle are provided. Live bait may be used when available and appropriate for the day’s fishing plan. The crew may catch bait during the trip, adding another authentic element to your offshore adventure.
A deckhand or First Mate may also be onboard to assist with the equipment, prepare lines, help land fish and keep everything running smoothly.
Guests may need a valid South African recreational fishing permit before departure.
