Mankeme Ocean Tours invites you to experience the stunning waters of Tamarindo. Captain Marco will be your guide, giving you access to their angling experience.
Local species include Amberjack, Arapaima, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Skipjack Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Goliath Grouper, Wahoo, and more if conditions are right.
On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be casting lines from a 34' Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
