Mautiyak Game Fishing
For a great day out on the water and a catch to remember, choose Mautiyak Game Fishing in Mauritius. Your captain Ludovic Angeline is a veteran angler and an ex IGFA Captain. Drawing on 17 years of experience, he is prepared to help you target almost anything that is biting in these waters. Join him and experience the big game fishing that Mauritius is famous for!
Welcome aboard “Popeye,” a 32’ Cabin Cruiser powered by twin 85 HP Perkins engines. This vessel is fitted with a flybridge, outriggers, and a fighting chair. Passengers can enjoy the boat’s spacious deck and living space, a bedroom, kitchen, and toilet. There is even a grill on board, where the crew prepares lunch on special full day excursions.
The waters of Mauritius are well-known for deep sea hotspots and abundant fishing seasons. While fishing with Capt. Ludovic you are likely to stay along the Mauritian west coast, where the waters are known to host especially large pelagic fish.
Here you can target Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Giant Trevally, and Tuna. You will mainly target your catch by trolling, but you will also have the option to try your hand at jigging and drop shot fishing. You can also bottom fish for Snapper, Grouper, Needlefish, and more.
Capt. Ludovic offers a variety of trips, including a full day excursion with fishing, snorkeling, dolphin watching, and an onboard BBQ. The crew will prepare sausage, chicken, or fish, along with salad and dessert. Water, soft drinks, and beer are provided (and rum upon request).
Mautiyak Game Fishing provides Penn and Shimano fishing gear, lures, and bait. Fish caught during your trip goes to the crew, but you may request to take one home to enjoy as a meal.
Come aboard today and enjoy the endless opportunities these waters have to offer!
