Last Chance Fishing Adventures offers professionally guided trips in the Sooke area, BC. Captain Kelly has been mastering the local waters since he was a kid. He will put his knowledge to work for you and your party while targeting Pacific Salmon. At this time of year, we do not target halibut, lingcod, or bottom fish
Fish the productive waters out of Sooke and enjoy the rich oceans that teem with angling opportunities. Whether you want to test the waters or spend your whole day out, Captain Kelly will get you close to the fish.
Your trip will begin at Sooke Harbor, which is less than 15 minutes away from the fishing grounds. You will be focusing on Salmon fishing, going after various species depending on what's around. Pink Salmon is great for introducing kids to fishing and trophy Chinook is the main target of those record-seeker anglers. And don't forget about Coho Salmon, which can be found on the right currents and tides.
Last Chance Fishing Adventurers will take you out aboard a 26' Hourston Glasscraft buddy cabin. This spacious boat comes powered by twin 140 HP Suzuki 4-stroke engines and can cruise at 30 knots. The vessel is fitted with Raymarine electronics, electric downriggers, and other professional accessories. Inside, there is a heated cabin and a stand-up head.
The vessel can comfortably take up to six passengers. However, it's recommended to have four anglers aboard for the best experience. You will be provided with the latest in light tackle for the best results. When you return to shore, the catch will be cleaned for you. Don't forget to purchase a valid fishing license prior to the trip. Anglers must bring a valid paper copy of their BC Tidal Waters fishing license, available online.

We worked hard for it, and we had to fight through tons of tiny Chinook until the big ones finally started biting just 30 mins before the charter ended, but eventually Captain Kelly got us into the bigger ones after trying his hardest! Captain Kelly even agreed to extend our charter time by 45 minutes just to make sure we had the best chance at big fish. I would highly recommend this charter to others!

He generously answered every question my children had (and they had many!), and the some. We absolutely loved our experience. Caught many fish and took home four good ones. Travelling home with fish? Check with your hotel to see if they’ll freeze it for you. Delta Marriott did for free, so we just had to buy extra large ziplocks and a disposable cooler. Customs let us carry it on but made us take out the ice. Don’t hesitate to book with Kelly! We highly recommend him and this experience.

He knew exactly where to fish, how to fish, lines were always in the water, and educated us on all the history of fishing and the Sooke/Victoria region. we caught some massive salmon, kids had an absolute blast. I cannot believe how amazing this fishing charter was and highly recommend him to anyone. Trip of a lifetime with my family.

Our trip with Last Chance and capt Kelly was a great 6 hours on the water. we were on fish within the first 45 minutes, and we were able to put a couple keepers in the fish chest! Wifes shopping list for some salmon was checked off! Kelly was knowledgeable and was able to switch up gear and locations quickly to get on the fish that were biting. we fished to the last minute. and he even cleaned and filleted the fish for us. Capt Kelly was also quite accommodating with our two small dogs, even when they decided that it was a good time to have a sibling fight and had to be separated. I would definitely book again with Last Chance. Kenny

You bet, it started off slow about finished with a bang it was a lot of fun.
We had a blast, Kelly knows the waters and knows how to land you on the fish. The highlight was fishing a triple, all 3 rods bent within 5 seconds of one another. It was an experience my Alberta inlaws will remember forever.

Captain Kelly was great, and really cool to talk to. He had lots of good info to share about everything fishing. My kids had so much fun, since he has lots of kids on his family the same age as mine! Wear beat up running shoes and an old hoodie.
