The lake is quite in January, but there's still fishing to be done. If the weather conditions allow for it, you can ice fish for Walleye and Northern Pike. 

Winter fishing on Lake Ontario isn't for the faint for heart. If you are willing to brave the cold, however, you could be rewarded with delicious Brown Trout. 

Spring is nearing and it's finally not as bitingly cold. March is also when things start getting more interesting for anglers! The Browns are big, hungry, and eager to bite. Smaller specimens make for a delicious dinner!

Depending on how cold the previous winter was, you could start to find Chinook and Coho Salmon in the lake's western basin. Otherwise, Lake and Brown Trout make for reliable and tasty targets. 

King and Coho Salmon are likely congregating along the shorelines and in neashore waters. If you know where to go, you could even hook a few of these fish in as little time as a half day trip!

Is there a better way to spend a summer day than on the lake? The prospect of hooking Chinook and Coho Salmon makes it even better. Hook 'em before they head into deeper and colder waters. 

July is an amazing fishing month on Lake Ontario. The weather is great and the fish are biting hot. Salmon make their way into deeper and colder waters, so head out on a full day trip and troll for your limits. 

Slowly but surely, the Chinook Salmon head into the lake's tributarties to spawn. They'll usually enter from Mexico Bay so head there and hook 'em while they're fresh and eager to bite. 

It's primetime in the lake's tributaries. The Salmon are spawning, which means they're big and aggressive. Don't underestimate their power as they strike your line. 

It's peak Chinook and Coho Salmon fishing season. Catch them while they're still in the tributaries and go home with some delicious meat for dinner!

This is your last chance to hook into delicious Coho and Chinook Salmon. Head into the mouths of the streams and rivers and bundle up! It's chill out there.
