Boys (10 & 8 yo) and I had a great morning out with Jason. He’s a knowledgeable captain knows how to get fish in the boat. In fact, after an hour or two dry spell at a few spots, he kept us out an hour longer just to ensure we were able to land a few more. Spanish mackerel flying everywhere! He was patient with my sons’ innumerable questions and was really a great guide for their saltwater fish.

Jason was great. The day started slow, but we stayed with it until we found the perfect spot and caught a lot of fish. My three boys had a great time and would recommend Jason. We will definitely look him up again. Next time we are back in town.

Had a fantastic time on the water this morning. Captain Jason put us on the fish! Did some inlet fishing for blues and Spanish and then got to target some big reds! We will definitely be booking again.

Captain Jason is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a beautiful morning nearshore and caught Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Sea Trout, and Blue Fish. The Bonita were not cooperative this morning. We got to see dolphins, sea turtles, and a huge sunfish.

Jason was a great captain. He tried to get us on the fish, but the weather and water temp was not ideal. We tried quite a few spots and caught some small stuff. Some days are better than others, that is fishing. Overall we had a good time and I would recommend Back Sound to others.

March in North Carolina can be a hard time to get on the water for anything. Jason was very flexible with schedule changes as they related to weather and was quick to communicate. Jason was good with our inexperienced group being patient especially with the kids and informative with the adults. We all caught some fish and had a wonderful experience that we will never forget. It is an experience and a captain that I would definitely recommend.
