The water was teeming with fish. We were fishing a busy weekend with a local Mahi tournament going on as well. Lots of boats plus windy day made for some rougher waters. But the fishing was great. We did one day backwater with a different outfit and then this trip. Both days were super productive. I fish the Keys a few times a year, May is the best for variety and catch ratios IMO.

We had a great time fishing in this area. There seemed to be a lot of fish as we did pretty well. If you are looking to catch a particular species, it would be helpful to know what’s in season, etc. Enjoy!

Communicate with your guide about what you're looking for and remember that the fish are the ones who decide where to be and what to eat. Have fun. Roll with the seasons and schools. Stay hydrated and wear a hat and long sleeve fishing shirt. The sun is the most dangerous thing on a fishing trip.

After Bryce cleaned our fish, we brought it to Lazy Days Restaurant and had a great dinner! They cook your fish for you and it was incredible. Highly recommend it!

Capt Rip(Alex) was great. The seas were a bit rough heading out to the hump so we trolled for dolphin on the way out and caught quite a few. We got to the hump and the tuna bite was a bit slow. We trolled and got some more fish and had a nice size tuna on the hook but a shark wanted him more. Overall, an A+ day and a great overall person to be guiding us. Give him a shout!

My wife and I had an enjoyable fishing trip with Captain Bryce. He was personable and easygoing but knowledgeable and thoughtful. We were warned that tarpon season had been prematurely early this year, yet we tried anyway and caught a large grouper, mangrove snapper, and a few shark. Bryce was well trained on the boat and we thoroughly enjoyed the day.

We caught 6 yellowtail including a large one around 24”. Highly recommend to enjoy a morning of fishing.

We had an absolute amazing trip. We fished two days with rip and he absolutely went above and beyond to put us on fish. You could definitely see his experience stand out against younger captains. Will book again hands down next time we come down! His first mate was also experienced and super fun to talk with. These guys make one heck of a duo!! Thank you so much for the great time guys!!

Captain and Todd were great! Awesome fishing with these fellas! We really enjoyed the trip! Caught some nice fish for dinner! Captain Kerry and 1st mate Todd were great guys!!! They thought of everything! Todd made sure to keep the lines baited and kept us moving! Captain took us to several different spots and kept the fish on!!!

We did a four hour afternoon trip with Capt. Ben from Captain Jay Charters 2. I can not say enough good things about this trip. The boat was clean, well equipped. The Captain (Ben) was great! Professional, and knowledgeable. He got us on the fish and we had a blast!! I will definitely call Captain Jay Charters 2 the next time I am in town!

Repeat customer. Really enjoyed fishing with Capt Rip and mate Brian. Took us right to the fish and stayed with them. Stayed out longer than we booked and had a great, slow, leisurely ride back :) Inside jokes aside, I’ll definitely book with Riplines again should the opportunity arise. Thanks, Capt Rip!

My father and I enjoyed a great day out reef fishing with Captain Hennessy! Caught a black grouper on opening day and a whole bunch of nice yellowtail snapper. Loved the boat and team - thank you for a great day. We will be back !!

Captain Rip contacted me the day before to warn me about the weather. Unfortunately, we were unable to delay the trip so we had to go with what we had. Seas were pretty bad but the Captain and Brian worked tirelessly to put us on the fish. We came home with a decent cooler full of Mahi and we had a ton of fun doing it, even in less-than-ideal conditions. I would highly recommend Captain Rip and his services.

We had an amazing time with Captain Bryce! He was very knowledgeable and helped us with everything, which is great cause we are not avid fishermen. He took us to several spots, made sure we were comfortable on the boat, and explained everything. Definitely recommend and will be back when we come back to the Keys.
