I would absolutely recommend angler fishing for the first time in Aransas Pass! It was my first time and I’m already planning another trip back in July. I’m from Florida originally and I felt like I was at home. Great place to go angler fishing for the first time.

There is a LOT of quality water in the area. I particularly like wade-fishing the flats, and there are literally thousands of acres available. We had perfect weather. Not crazy hot, beautiful water temperature, and lots of fishing opportunity. Highly recommended.

I would recommend Aransas Pass because it is away from the tourist crowd of Port Aransas. We stayed in PA but vying for a fishing trip there was crazy. Easy access to the harbor in Aransas Pass.

Expect a great trip with Captain Larry Bell, he will give you a great day on the water filled with quality keeper size redfish and trout. Plan on wearing clothes that you feel comfortable wadefishing in. Remember to shuffle your feet. Never had any problems with stingrays but always better to be safe. Bring lots of sunscreen and polarized glasses to be able to see top water baits used on the flats without hurting your eyes.

Got the opportunity to take my grandpa, dad, and brother fishing and Captain Travis made it an awesome experience. He tried very hard to put us on the fish, and though we didn't have as much luck as we would have liked, it was still an awesome trip! He was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and just a down to earth guy who takes pride in his job. If you're looking for a guide in Rockport, give Travis a shout! Can't wait to do this again soon! Thanks Captain Travis!

Captain Travis was fantastic. The day was calm, the spots we fished were secluded, he was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he even laughed at my dad's jokes which I appreciated very much. Even though it was a slow day, he put us on enough fish to have a good time. If you want to fish yourself he'll give you the freedom to do so, or if you want assistance he'll bait, cast, and unhook the fish for you. Overall it was a great experience and I hope to come back soon.

We were extremely satisfied with our experience. By 9:00 we had limited out on redfish and had Kathy's bonus 30 incher. With bad knees I was worried about getting on boat but had no problem with Capt Jared's. We are already checking schedules to see when we can book another trip. His experience and knowledge is a big plus. Capt Jared is very pleasant to be around.

Got us on great fish! And really took the time to fillet and clean our fish properly. Was an amazing trip. Also got the bonus of some dolphin watching! Which I enjoyed as much as the fishing.
