August
With school out, now’s the perfect time to bring the little ones along to the bay to take up a new, healthy hobby. Come fishing for the famed Speckled Trout, and teach the kids a thing or two about cooking as well.
September

Be prepared for south TX weather! It could be freezing with the wind on the boat one minute and the next you're burning up.

I am not knowledgeable enough to offer any meaningful advice. But I suppose everybody knows that it is just too hot to fish during the middle of the day in August. A morning or late afternoon trip would be more pleasant.

There is a LOT of quality water in the area. I particularly like wade-fishing the flats, and there are literally thousands of acres available. We had perfect weather. Not crazy hot, beautiful water temperature, and lots of fishing opportunity. Highly recommended.

I would recommend Aransas Pass because it is away from the tourist crowd of Port Aransas. We stayed in PA but vying for a fishing trip there was crazy. Easy access to the harbor in Aransas Pass.

Expect a great trip with Captain Larry Bell, he will give you a great day on the water filled with quality keeper size redfish and trout. Plan on wearing clothes that you feel comfortable wadefishing in. Remember to shuffle your feet. Never had any problems with stingrays but always better to be safe. Bring lots of sunscreen and polarized glasses to be able to see top water baits used on the flats without hurting your eyes.

For our half day fishing trip, we showed up at Paradise Key Harbor early. Captain L.L. had the boat gassed up and the equipment ready to go. We spent the morning going after trout and redfish and ending up fishing several locations in the bay. We had a good morning chasing the bite and ended up pulling a redfish keeper in the boat. We would go back for another trip with Captain L.L.

We met Matt at 6am as planned. There were 6 of us; me, my husband, our 4 kids (7,9,11,14). We caught a few gafftop, a few small trout and a crab. The fishing was slowโ€ฆMother Nature, what are you going to do! Matt busted butt hitting different areas but fish just werenโ€™t biting for us or any other fishermen we saw. Matt hustled baiting our hooks and casting our lines all morning!! He was great! Next time we come to Rockport to fish, we will be calling Matt!!!!

Travis guided us for a quick 4 hour trip (including cleaning of fish) for my son & 2 friends (all 15 yrs old) and I. All first timers - We all had a blast. Reeled in 29 fish - reds, drums, trout and catfish. Left with smiles and fish for all the families to cook - great day trip from Austin. Thanks again Travis!

Captain David Lee made an immediate impact on us from the start, new a lot of great spots and had a lot of advice when we asked questions. Although it was murky water and very windy we managed to catch 12 fish, although there were a lot of boats who brought in nothing and didn't get bites. will now be a customer to his services anytime we come to port a. if you're looking to catch fish, have great conversations, and be educated on fishing, look no further.

The water and weather conditions were the best I've ever seen. The water was so clear you could see redfish all around us - but they wouldn't bite at first. Capt Levi kept us on fish all day and we had a great time. Suddenly we hit a hot spot and caught our limit in a flash, less than 1 hour. I would definitely fish with Capt Levi again! Great experience, excellent knowledge, boat and equipment.

We wanted to fish for redfish, trout, or whatever was biting. Unfortunately not much was biting but guides have no control over that, and in spite of the slow bite Capt Regini put us in position to catch a couple of keeper redfish and a really nice flounder. We also caught a some undersized reds and a few of those bait stealing catfish. Boat, fishing rods, and bait were all top quality. We look forward to fishing with him again later in the summer when the weather settles down.
