Southport Black Drum Fishing Charters

This is a full day of fishing where you will spend 8 hours on the inshore waters targeting Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, Stingray. Trout, and other local species. You will have enough time to change a few productive locations during this trip.

3/4 day inshore/nearshore fishing. Saltwater fishing license, bait, tackle, and ice included.

The 3/4-day trip is perfect for those that want to spend some extra time on the water. Lasting for 6 hours, it gives guests the opportunity to spend most of their day on the boat fishing. This trip is perfect for those that want to try different styles of fishing. For example, you can begin the day fly fishing or bait fishing, and then switch the styles depending on your preference throughout the day.

We will head out into the deeper water in the 10–15 mile range where we will find Amberjack, Kingfish, Seabass, Grunt, Grouper, and maybe Mahi Mahi.

Inshore/Nearshore fishing, targeting specific species based on our best chances to have the most fun and successful day on the water. We'll be using an array of fishing techniques, from trolling, jigging, casting, and bottom fishing. I can take preferences on specific species to fish for. I will be honest and advise if that's a good target for the time of year.

Inshore and Offshore (weather permitting and upon guest preference (let us know if you get seasick and we can stay inshore). Kids welcome. Trout, Drum, Seabass, Flounder, White Grunt, Bonito, Spanish, and Cobia are our most popular and routine catches. From the beach to 20 miles out. Species include King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Bonito, False Albacore, Bull Red Drum, and Shark! Included in this trip are the fishing license, fishing gear, bait, ice, and water.

Enjoy the Mid-Atlantic Surf Fishing Academy experience for up to 4 people. This is your opportunity to learn basic skills, fish tidal changes and varying fishing conditions. The best trip for learning AND Fishing! The session will start with hands-on instructions on rigs and rigging, bait and bait preparation, reading the beach, knot tying, tying shock leaders, and more. Following the teaching session, we will fish and put those skills to work for the remainder of the day.
