South Carolina Black Drum Fishing Charters

The summer in St. Bernard usually brings plenty of Redfish and sharks, while the colder months see the appearance of Trout, Flounder, as well as Redfish. Occasionally, there might even be Tarpon to catch.

Tailored to the intermediate-to-advanced angler, this 3/4 day trip allows anglers the time needed to travel to numerous locations and target multiple species. On this excursion, you’ll target inshore, nearshore, and reef species, and your fishing licenses, bait and tackle, ice, bottled water, and photographs of your adventure are all included.

This is a trip where we will cover it all, from catching bait to several different spots. We will be moving and finding fish several times unless the bite is absolute fire. There isn't any rush here, just making sure we can catch that fish you came to Charleston for. If you are looking to fish for Sheephead please let me know ahead of time. This start time will be adjusted for sunset if it runs past.

Departing adjacent to the historic port city of Georgetown waterfront (the third oldest in SC.), clients will spend the next 5 hours not only fishing the expansive inshore waters of this area for Redfish, Flounder, Spotted Sea Trout, Bluefish, and other seasonal species including Sharks and Tarpon, but you'll be in and amongst the most naturally scenic estuary system along the upper South Carolina coast. For those that are history buffs, ask Captain Greg to "show and tell" some of those spots too!

Five-hour afternoon inshore trip.

A combination of light and heavy tackle to target surf fish and Sharks of all sizes from the beach. We will fish some casting rods for smaller fish, light tackle kayaked rods mid-range for Sharks, large Rays, and Redfish, and fish heavy tackle kayaked baits out extra far for big fish. This trip offers more time, allowing a better chance at more and bigger fish.

The time frame for this trip allows you to enjoy your time on the boat, water, and with company. No clock watching and rapidly boarding or leaving the boat. This trip is designed with your schedule in mind and wants out of your trip. This also will allow ample time to seek out different species and different methods to fish. Basically, you will get to decide how you want to fish with some recommendations from the Captain. (THE TRIP COST IS BASED ON 4 ANGLERS AND THERE MAY BE ADDED FEES FOR ADDED ANGLERS)
