Leonardtown Bluefish Fishing Charters

A full day of trolling on the Chesapeake bay will get you the most out of your fishing experience. With fishing license and gear provided, all you need to do is enjoy your day and get excited over your catch. From Catfish to Rockfish, there will be plenty of time to experience the thrill of going after them all.

Join Chesapeake Adventures Sportfishing and experience Maryland's coastal pride and joy. Capt. James will take you to his favorite fishing spots up and down the Chesapeake Bay where you will be using light tackle to either bottom fish, jig, or spin for some very popular species. Your target fish are Black Drum, Redfish, Striped Bass, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Flounder, and many more.

Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish are great eating especially when cooked (baked or fried) fresh. They are even better smoked! Or make fish Tacos! Join us for a fun day of catching fish! Ice, bait, rods and licenses included in our pricing!

This is a full day on the water of hands-on light tackle and/or fly fishing. Be prepared to cover a lot of water and fish hard!

This trip is for people that don’t want to pay for a full charter. You’ll be combined with a maximum of five Anglers. Exact times may change based on whether and bite.

Join us April – May 2025 “down south" near Virginia Beach and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel for some EXCITING BULL REDFISH ACTION. Capt. Giovanni has been fishing the spring migration for years and has some great locations that these migrating fish LOVE. Want to catch a BULL RED on your fly rod…This is the shot!! Trip is 5+ hours Lots of sight fishing and we will be all over the electronics finding fish. We can also have some Giant bluefish and striped bass show up.

Starting May 1st we will be starting the trolling season out Bluefishing. As the season progresses into June we will be targeting Spanish Mackerel and Cobia as well.

Bottom fishing for anything you can put in the cooler and take home to eat. Can customize trip to meet your expectations and desires.
