Vancouver Island Crab Fishing Charters

Lets go out for a 6 hour fishing adventure. We will target trophy chinook/Kings, crab, (rockfish/lingcod after April 1st) I will work hard to ensure you success.

If you think 4 hours is too short but a full 8 hours is a bit much, choose our 6 hour charter that will give you a good chance at chasing down some big Chinook and Coho Salmon!

The 10-hour trip will see you spending a full day on the water, and is the best way to truly experience the Claoyoquot Sound! If you're an avid angler, you can spend the entire time targeting many species – usually, you'll split your time targeting Salmon (Coho and Chinook) during the slack tides, before switching to Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish for the remainder. Get a taste of what this fishery is all about! Rods, reels, lures, and tackle are included. Just bring a valid fishing license.

A little more time on the water gives you a greater range and broader scope of fishing locations. Go after one species or multiple different fish if retention limits are not the objective. These waters are home to Lingcod, two types of Salmon, Rockfish, Halibut, and many more delicious creatures, so there'll be no shortage of rewards after you fill the boat with these creatures. You may also explore Hot Springs Cove which is perfect for families or couples who wish to beat the crowds.

This full 10-hour day of fishing is the best way to capitalize on your time in Tofino. Fish multiple species to help fill your freezer for winter. You and the captain can drop Crab or prawn traps on your way out to the open ocean. Then, depending on tides, you can work on catching some scrappy exhilarating Chinook Salmon or wrestle some large Halibut or Lingcod from the depths. Whatever you like, the captain can personalize your adventure.

Start your trip off by setting up a Crab trap or a few Shrimp pots, then head off for some Salmon. Salmon don't wanna bite today? Let's go catch some Rockfish! Lingcod and Snapper are always tasty! Returning to the harbor we can pick up the Shrimp and/or Crab pots we dropped earlier in the day. The adventure is yours, let me be your guide!

Enjoy 8 hours spent trolling for Salmon, checking out local sights, islands, and beaches. We will visit the Stellar Sea Lions of Race Rocks. We can often stop and jig for rockfish and Lingcod at the slack tides. You will meet the harbour seals at the docks, and often have a good chance to see whales, porpoise, and sea birds while fishing. We will set 2 crab traps on our way out, to retrieve (hopefully full of Dungeness crab!) on our way back to the dock. We will be fishing with down-riggers and flashers.

Book this 6 Hour Charter to receive a fully guided Parksville/ Qualicum Beach fishing experience targeting Chinook, Coho, Pink and Chum Salmon. if you would like to drop a crab trap in your 6 Hour Charter we can accommodate that at no extra cost. We will Leave the dock at 1:00 PM and return at 7:00 PM Please note that our prices include Government Taxes.

Spend the day trolling for Salmon and bottom fishing for giant Lingcod, Halibut, and Rockfish. This trip pushes off just after sunrise with only a short run to the fishing grounds. We'll capitalize on the first light bite and have the opportunity to fish multiple tides and target multiple species, throughout the day. We'll also be dropping our crab traps on the way out, letting them soak full of bait for Dungeoness crab, while we're out fishing.
