Rainbow Trout (Steelhead) Fishing in Blue Ridge

Northern Georgia is famous for its Trout fishing, and Blue Ridge is a hub for anglers all over the state. Explore the town’s synonymous lake or the Toccoa river and get your fish on. Blue Ridge, GA Trout fishing promises plenty of action year-round, offering up fun for anglers of all levels.

These waters are populated by Brook, Rainbow, and Brown Trout. Try casting from a boat, from shore, or get your waders on and get up close to the fish as you hop in. Get ready for an intense battle as these beasts will do whatever they can to get off the end of your line.

With a professional fishing guide, you’ll discover the productive fishing grounds in no time. If you’re a beginner, take advantage of shorter, half-day trips, while avid anglers can spend a full day on the water. The more experienced among you may be tempted to bring your fly fishing gear, and most guides here will accommodate you, as they know that landing a Georgia Trout is high on every angler’s agenda.

Don’t forget to buy a GA fishing license and a Trout permit, and then you’re good to go. Make sure to bring some drinks and snacks aboard, as these tough-fighting creatures will use up all of your energy. Head home with plenty of meat as a reward for your workout, and you’ll know that you’ve made the most of your Blue Ridge Trout fishing adventure.

My 13 year old son and I had a great trip on the river with Zach. He was super friendly, very educational, highly patient, and great fun to spend half a day with. Will definitely recommend to anyone and look forward to more trips with Zach in the future.

Amazing day with Jason
5/5
Had a great day on the water, took my son for a half day of fly fishing. Communication with our guide was easy and was super flexible on starting time. Jason was great with his instruction with two novice fly fishermen and filled the time with fun stories and conversation.

Bass Frenzy!
5/5
Captain Len was awesome! Was nice enough to pick us up at our house pier and put us immediately on fish. Had a consistent bite all day and all the equipment he had was more than enough for us to have an awesome experience. When we are back in Blue Ridge we will absolutely be giving him a call to go out again!
