Seward Chinook Salmon Fishing Charters

Explore the beautiful Kalisof River, targeting big King Salmon in peace on this drift-only section of river. After the King Salmon run, there is also a large run of Silver Salmon, which also offers great fights and delicious fish. Further on in the season, coming into fall, you can get some great catch & release fishing for Steelhead in the stunning Upper Kasilof Wildlife Refuge.

On this trip, you will spend the day drift fishing 8 miles of the Upper Kenai River. This wild area is closed to motors and features incredible fishing opportunities for Salmon, Rainbow Trout, and Dolly Varden. Start times are flexible depending on the season, species, and your needs.

Get out in the productive waters off the coast of Seward. You will spend approximately half your day fishing for halibut then switch gear and location and fish for salmon and or rockfish. (The itinerary will be determined by the weather conditions what fish are running and local regulations.) The captain will supply you with all the necessary fishing gear for this trip. You can expect a 1 to 3-hour ride to the best fishing grounds. Keep in mind Halibut is closed on Wednesdays during the season.

This trip allows you and the crew to fish for 2 species on the day. This can include Halibut, Yellow Eye Rockfish, Black Rockfish, Lingcod, King Salmon, and Silver Salmon. Please check the Alaska Regulations for seasonality, size and bag limits. You can check these and acquire your fishing license at the Alaska Department of Fish Game website. Bring Lunch, drinks and snacks. Be ready to depart at 6:00 a.m. We only take 6 anglers on this trip. This is NOT a "Party Boat" of 12-18 other anglers.
