California Sockeye Salmon Fishing Charters

This unique lake just minutes out of Redding is a fantastic Kokanee lake I target fish on my fishfinder and troll small lures using downriggers to get to the exact depths to catch these bright red meat fish. Excellent to eat. You won't be disappointed in the quality. Kokanee are a land locked Sockeye that stay in fresh water and spawn in local creeks. They mature to 17-19" in whiskeytown lake. Discount for 4-5 people.

Fishing for Kokanee with downriggers on Bullards Bar, or Bucks Lake

A full-day trip takes advantage of the early morning bite window and gives you the best chances at catching your limit of fish! Shasta Lake is a very unique place and can offer some great fishing. We have the option to use trolling methods for Salmon and Trout, or we can use casting methods for multiple species of Bass!

We will be fishing for 6 hours, typically boarding at 5 or 6a.m. depending on the season and back to the boat ramp by noon. I am also offering afternoon trips of the same duration.

This guided fishing tour is worth the early wake up call. Fishing is usually better and the Lake much calmer. Plus you have the rest of the day to enjoy beautiful Lake Tahoe !
