Cape Town Shad Fishing Charters

You will be targeting various inshore species like Yellowtail, Cape Snoek/Barracouta, Bonito and various reef species around Cape Point or heading towards Seal Island to target various Red and Reef fish, Kob, Yellowtail, Cape Salmon and Elf/Bluefish. We can accommodate up to 5 guests but recommend a maximum of 4 for the most comfortable experience. Spear-fishers bringing their own equipment can also be accommodated by prior arrangement.

This local piece of Coastline has a selection of edible and non-edible fish species. Edibles that you will find here are Kabeljou, Shad/Elf, White Steenbras, Galjoen, and a few others. Non-edibles you will find an abundance of flat fish species, like the Duck-Bill Ray, Diamond Ray, Blue Rays and many more. Sharks you will find the Spotted Gully sharks, Cow Sharks, Smooth Hound Sharks and a few other species. The above package is offered for shore (Rock & Surf) fishing as well as offshore (Boat) fishing.

This trip is ideal for the entire family, novices, and enthusiasts. You'll fish for 5-6 hours in False Bay, 1-2 miles off the shore. False Bay and the area around Cape Point are home to an abundance of marine life and a variety of fishing areas to choose from. Using light to medium tackle, you'll be able to fish for various types, including Red Roman, Cape Salmon, and Bronze Beam (Hottentot).
