Fishing in the backwater of the mangrove shorelines is a great way to get away from everything and very relaxing. No sea sickness. Lure fishing and live bait using very light tackle is fun catching redfish, snook, spotted seatrout, tarpon, black drum, and whatever else tugs the line. Guaranteed to see dolphins and/or manatees. When you see one, you strike. That’s gigging—and yes, it’s as fun as it sounds. This is hands-on, close-quarters fishing. A little stealth, a sharp eye, and a quick jab are all you need to turn the quiet night into an unforgettable hunt.
