Snook Fishing in Fort Myers

Step aboard a Snook fishing charter in Fort Myers and discover a whole new world of inshore fishing. The brackish waters of the Caloosahatchee River are overflowing with Snook and scores of keen anglers going for that prized catch. Come and see for yourself, and you’ll be rushing to get back on the water to go again!

What to Expect

Snook are known all over the world for their game and taste qualities. Due to their reliance on warm waters, their harvesting seasons are restricted. Fear not, though, because a day fishing for Snook in Fort Myers will be full of thrills – no matter if you keep your catch or not.

A very spooky fish, Snook provides a challenge for any angler. Experienced anglers will relish the chance to spend six or eight hours battling it out with these strong fish, while beginners may prefer a half day trip. You can even take advantage of night fishing under the dock lights, giving you a better chance of catching your prey by surprise.

Aboard a shallow-hulled boat, you’ll gently navigate the shallows, doing your utmost to keep your fish none the wiser. An aggressive feeder, it will take the bait but immediately try to make its way off the end of your line. Get ready for an intense battle to hook one aboard!

How to Prepare

As they prefer warm waters, your best bet of fishing for Snook comes in summer. Thanks to the warm climate in Fort Myers, you can go after Snook anytime from late March to early November.

You’ll find everything you need for a productive day aboard, including rods, reels, and bait. Your captain will give a helping hand to any first-timers, while the more experienced among you can take the reins and start casting right away.

Bring some drinks and snacks aboard, and get ready to experience some of the best light tackle action around. A Fort Myers Snook fishing charter is waiting to take you away!

Amazing day!
5/5
My husband and our two grandsons went out with Captain Jack and had one of the best days ever! He communicated very well with the kids and helped them catch as many fish as they could. He was able to navigate the waters to find new spots when they had stopped catching some. They caught the limit on snapper and hooked into quite a few snook including a 34 inch one! Couldn’t have had a better captain! These memory’s will last a lifetime for the kids!

Nick is a great guide, he knew what to do when the bite was slow and a ton of different spots/gear to get us in some action. He also put me on my first snook ! Had a great time

Not a catfish captain
5/5
Jack was great and immediately got us into fish. We caught some keeper fish and once we got the cooler with some keepers we went out to catch some monster snook. Really couldn’t have asked for a better day, Jack really knew what he was doing and put us on some great fish. If we come back, we know which captain we will be choosing again. Thanks so much for the day.

A memorable day
5/5
Don’t hesitate to book Captain Dan for your next fishing charter. We had an action filled day catching snook, redfish, and mangrove snapper. Today was one of, if not the best fishing charter experiences I have had so far in my life. We even got to see some dolphin, and a manatee when traveling to different areas. Captain Dan is a great teacher, and is super fun to fish with. Thank you again for the wonderful adventure!

Great trip
5/5
I had an awesome time on my trip with Captain Dan. We hooked a tarpon on top water 15 minutes into the trip. Then we got into some big snook and a big sea trout and finished off the slam with a nice redfish.
