7 Hour Trip – Offshore Trip (AM)
This trip takes you offshore of Destin within state waters and typically starts with catching bait fish near the beach. Then adventure off to deeper water to drop live or cut up bait down to the bottom to catch many different species of Snappers and Grouper, as well as Triggerfish and many others. The targeted fish and bait used depends on the time of year. Trolling for other pelagic species is also possible while going to or back from the bottom fishing spots.

On this trip, we will be looking and fishing for Redfish, speckled trout, mangrove snapper and anything else that wants to bite in the crystal clear waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay and Destin Pass. Beautiful water and scenery make for an awesome short boat ride across the bay to our favorite spots! We will mainly be fishing with live bait around bridges, docks, and jetty’s for a good bite. This is a great experience for everyone in the family! Come give this trip a try!

Put us on some fish!
5/5
It was mid day and slow bite but Captain Tanner still put us on some fish including Spanish Mackerel and some really nice Bonitas. He made bait adjustments as needed and got us where we needed to be. I would 100% go with Captain Tanner next time we are in the area!

Great Trip
5/5
My family and I did the 3 hour trip and had a blast. The ocean was super rough so we stayed in the bay and caught Spanish Mackerel. Captain John and First Mate Nick are personable and easy going, and made sure that we had a good time. I would 1000% recommend A Slice of Life for your charter.

Will did an excellent job taking us to where the fish were biting. He was at the dock ready to go when we got there 20 minutes before our time to go out. We got out a little early and within the hour we're hooking amberjack and Spanish mackerel. Very friendly and knowledgeable Captain with a well equipped boat, electronics, and fishing gear.

Fun trip
5/5
3hr trip had fun with Capt. Tanner. He worked hard to put us on fish in less than ideal weather conditions. Caught some Spanish Mackerel that we took to a local restaurant to be grilled, very tasty!

Michigan boys hit it big
5/5
Captain John, and first mate Nick. Took us out on a short three hour trip. They wasted no time and had us hooked up on Spanish Mackerel before the second line was in the water. It was a great three hours for me and the boys. They are two awesome people very friendly and are great with the kids. We will definitely book another trip with them when we come back hands down. Thanks again captain John and Nick!!!
