Watch the weather. It was really windy and the wind had the water all churned up and muddy. Fish were not biting as well as they maybe would have otherwise.

I would reccomend to first timer fishers to take a fishing guide trip or go to a fishing pier and ask plenty of questions! Its the ocean, much different than fresh water. Its good to be informed!

use motion sickness meds...took 2 fishing trips in rough an smooth water...an had lots of sick fisherman...
