Nelson the captain knew his stuff he went out of his way to make us both welcome and comfortable. His crew was also first class who quickly set the rods again and made sure we had everything we need. We caught when the other boats out that day blanked. He will answer any fishing or Dominican related questions and is very informative.

It I had to be hyper critical a couple of times the exhaust fumes on the boat were a bit strong when sitting down stairs. But this by no means spoiled the day, just a point for something to look at.

I would recommend Nelson and his crew to anyone whishing to go fishing ion Purto Plato.

Trip was amazing nice boat great crew.

My wife and I scheduled a half day trip.It was a beautiful sunny with a 10 mph wind. Even though my wife took some motion sickness pills she still became.  I was surprised at how large some of the waves were once we got out to sea.  We didn’t catch anything and out of the 3 boats that went out in the morning only 1 caught a small mahi mahi.
it took so long to get out to where it was good fishing that we only had about 45 minutes of our lines being in productive water.

The crew was very friendly and accommodating but their english and my spanish were both pretty poor. We were picked up on time and taken back to our hotel.. Overall the trip was ok the scenery was beautiful and the boat was relatively comfortable. I would recommend going for a full day if possible if you really want to catch fish
