What an enjoyable afternoon and evening!!  From start to finish we received a warm, easy and genuinely friendly welcome from Mike and Joe.  They got us on fish and they were beauties!!  We went 9 for 9.  3 different species 5 King Salmon, 2 Lake Trout and 2 Cohos.  All the fish fought great!  Spectacular!!!!  Most meat I’ve ever seen caught in all my years of fishing.  It was a really cool memory that I’ll never forget.  Thanks Mike and Joe, we couldn’t have more fun than that.

The entire trip went perfect. The boat was ready when we arrived and just had to drop lines and the trip was underway. All of the equipment was available and in excellent shape including rods, downriggers and sonar equipment. The fish, as always, have a mind of there own but eventually the bite turned on and caught fish for everyone on board, the largest being a 28 pound salmon.

I would recommend this charter company to anyone wanting a professional experience with a fantastic captain and crew. My second charter with Mike.

This was such a great experience. It was a bit short notice but Mike made sure to get me on the water and onto some fish. Everything was excellent, he is very knowledgeable, explained everything and was very encouraging while I reeled in a salmon that had a lot of fight in him. I recommend fishing with Mike. I will 100% fly back from Alberta again to join this guy!

The experience:
We were out for roughly three hours and in that time had three fish on and were able to reel in two of them. Salmon fishing is not really for kids; They put up a heck of a fight and definitely require a fighting mentality, position and the muscle to reel in a very strong fish. Still, the trip was a total success and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Steve and Mike for their expertise!

The captain:
Steve clearly has a passion for fishing. He knew where to go to find the fish and rigged up 5 rods to fish with concurrently. He is great with children and makes sure that they (and everyone) are safe. When you are talking to him, he seems to have the ability to keep his eye on all five fishing rods at the same time and spring into action as soon as there is a fish on. Since we had kids with us he was happy to control the rod while the kids reeled in the line as much as they could. Great soft skills.

The boat:
We went out on their 27’ boat and while we acknowledge that we aren’t the average clientele (3 adults and 2 kids) we were hoping for some more comfortable seating on and below deck. The room that was available below deck to relax was cluttered however I don’t fault the crew for this at all. As I said, we aren’t the average clientele and having kids they didn’t always want to be on deck. The bathroom (head) on board is tiny. Very tiny. Think airplane. If you need to use the restroom, do so before going out to the lake.
