Background
I was born and raised in Key West, and started fishing with my grandfather at the tender age of 8 years old. My grandfather taught me how to fish, and instilled in me a great love and respect for the ocean. As I grew I knew that this is what I wanted to do with my life. As soon as I was able to shake my parents notion that one day I would head off to college, I began to fish in earnest. I started in the commercial industry trapping, diving, and hand lining. Though I enjoyed that life immensely I also enjoy showing people a good time, and showing off my craft. which led me into the charter boat industry. I went from first mate to owner of 4 charter boats at historical charterboat row. I have learned from the best in the industry, and have passed my knowledge onto my crews. I believe that all fishermen are show offs. They know that it is not easy to go fishing and actually catch fish, and that's what they do. Come on out and hang with our showoffs, I promise you will be entertained.

Dog Days of summer are upon us and we have a great crowd of kids that have dragged there parents to Key West to fish our bountiful waters. August is generally one of our most unpredictable months but this year .so far we have had a great august. And the kids of summer have been taking advantage of an exceptional month. We have been producing great catches of mahi, bonito, tuna and the occasional sailfish and wahoo. Check out some of our recent catches.

Summer mahi remains strong, and the marlin are taking advantage of the influx of the tasty delicacy. We are putting together great catches of mahi and now we have been adding in the occasional blue and white marlin with a sprinkling of sailfish and lots of bonito. Make your plans soon to visit Key West and get a chance to fish for hemingways favorite sportfish. Picture this mahi and marlin in the morning and margaritas and mimosas in the evening. At Capt. Conch Charters our plan is to create great memorys and give you bragging rights at sloppy joes.

At Capt. Conch Charters we continue to put the meat on the street, with some great mahi catches mixed with a few sailfish. The mahi continue to be our prime target lately, and we have had very few disappointing days. Here are some pics of some of our recent catches. Another great day on the water in Key West aboard the Capt. Conch fleet. We have been having some great mahi fishing here during the last week and we are hoping that continues through the summer. We expect to see more marlin showing up with the mahi soon, as they both share the same migratory pattern of predator and prey. On the duval scene things are hopping as the girls of summer set up camp and drive the boys crazy. Make your plans to come visit us on our carribean island in America. Where the booze keeps flowing, the fish keep biting and the girls keep getting preetier.

The big mahi are moving in and the seas have been calming down. On a recent trip into the atlantic we caught an assortment of fish. from small to large mahi, bonito and sailfish. This is a great time to fish the waters of the lower keys, as the large mahi are starting to migrate through our area. So make your plans with us to create memories for you and your family.
