The fishing time is only around 2,30h, as we spent 1,30 h to go and go back.
I would recommend to chosse the 3/4 day trip.

We actually were asked to combine with another boat, so got a 6 hr trip for the price of a 4 hr trip. Trolling was slow today. Only caught a few keepers but my son had a fun time, caught a great Mahi, and got to drive the boat for a little bit.

It was a beautiful day and for our time we caught 3 Bonita and one under size dolphinfish (mahi-mahi) The Captain and crew were great. Explained all the safety and fishing clearly and gave plenty of water on the hot day.  I guess I just question the whole system especially on how expensive it is. I went out on a 4 hour fishing trip with 3 other people. (two people canceled at the last minute). After 45 minutes we troll with 5 lines out in the sea and the deckhand asks us to make an order of who goes first to reel it in. So quite simply you could get one chance or no chance and purely on the luck of what is caught at the time, that is your experience. We are 4 and i"m thinking thank god the other two canceled! First one up reels in a small bonita in under 20 seconds. (turn over) 12 minutes pass.. Me a small bonita jumps off the hook after a few spins of the reel. (my turn over) next a couple.  10 minutes pass between each. They each reel one in less then 45 seconds. 18 minutes pass then back to the first one. He catches a larger bonita that takes one minute 14 seconds t land. .14 minutes pass Then me again I catch a small dolphinfish (mahi-mahi) that takes less then 40 seconds to reel in. To small we throw it back. Time passes - nothing- end of trip. I completely understand not catching anything as the sea has a will of it’s own. But can’t there be some alternative in the form of how these boats are fishing? How ones participates? To get more people involved. Even if I had the opportunity to catch a bigger dolphinfish (mahi-mahi) and land it in 5 minutes it is still too expensive for me for just this one fish or none. Maybe I was naive but I didn’t expect “waiting my turn” if it comes… I just share this so you know this construction but you’ll probably have much better luck anyway.
