Great team of Captains! Long time friends, fishermen and residents. We learned a ton while spotting fish and making successful catches all morning, all while laughing and enjoying a beautiful weather day. Lures were a combination of fake and live bait. They come prepared to come home with fish!

My 16-yr old son and I had a great day of fishing with Chip. The best part about the trip was the fact that Chip loves to go fishing and he was determined to make sure that my son and I had a great experience with him. We did! Chip has a great boat, great equipment, and great local fishing knowledge.
Melville marina is very accessible and it was easy to find Chip’s boat. We had an enjoyable and scenic boat ride out to Chip’s first fishing spot and it didn’t take long to get our first strikes from bluefish and stripers. My son and I do not have a lot of saltwater fishing experience, but Chip’s setup made it easy for us.
We spent the morning moving from spot to spot with Chip using his local knowledge and his network of other guides to find where the fish were biting. We stayed out an hour past the scheduled end of our trip because Chip was determined to get fish in the boat after my son and I weren’t able to land some of the earlier strikes. We had a great time and I look forward to taking another trip on Reel Addiction.

On a day in late August with temperatures over 90 degrees during a point of the day where there was a slack tide when there was virtually no chance of catching stripers (captain chip warned me a couple days in advance that the fishing wasn’t going to be productive which was very honest) the best hope was catching possibly a bluefish. We caught 2 massive stripped bass (35 inches and 28 inches I believe) when none of the other boats in the area caught even one fish, not even one bluefish! Captain Chip was very professional and first mate Jay was a master fisherman. Needles to say these guys pulled a rabbit out of a hat where none of the other approximately 10 other boats didn’t get anything on a day that was very unfavorable for fishing. Needless to say the other boats were chasing what we were doing. If you want to maximize your chances of getting something, go with these guys. You’ll be happy you did. Awesome team. We are definitely going to them next time we go for sure. I totally recommend Reel Addicting to anyone who is serious about catching fish. These guys are the real deal. No joke.

Capt. Chip is the man, he worked to keep us on the fish and we limited out on Stripers. We had the chance to fish several methods and top water is definitely the best. This is our second trip on Reel Addiction and we are already planning our trip next year.if you want a true fishing experience don’t look anywhere else.  Thanks Chip for a truly great experience again. We were prepared for a slow day on the water due to the very warm spell the past 2 weeks but Capt. Chip and crew were relentless in doing everything possible to make our day a success and after a very slow start we did finish
with our maximum take home limit of strippers and the day, very much a success. I would highly recommend them.
