I don’t typically write reviews; However, I am compelled to write my satisfaction with Captain Jorge Alvarez and crew. The captain was completely transparent regarding fishing, conditions, seasonal species and what we can expect to catch, his communication (English) was very good. I had requested that we just wanted to put fish in the boat and certainly did. We will be returning in the fall for billfish, and I will definitely be using this charter captain and oh by the way, great tunes!

Jorge and David were fantastic. I was a little late but they still made sure me and my friend had a great time. We caught a bunch of jack crevalles. It was so much fun.  Who knew fish could fight that hard lol. We also caught a trophy sized jack. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to fish. They will make you feel comfortable and make sure you have a great time. Oh and the fresh ceviche from the albacore’s we caught, was amazing.  5/5 don’t hesitate just book it 💪🏽

My buddy and I spend quite a bit of time fishing together, and we both agree that our time out on the water aboard the Valeria I was fantastic. The boat was clean, the crew were excited and ready to fish. The ride out was smooth and shorter than we thought for opting to extend our fishing plans outside Bahia Bay. We caught quite a few Bonito and had a couple great fights with Cravalle jack, which we released. The fresh, bonito ceviche made by the captain will be a lifelong memory.

Sometimes the best advice is the simplest. “enjoy your fish”- Captain Jorge. Simple words, but it seemed to be his overall philosophy. We had a slow start to the day but Captain Jorge and Eduardo never gave up, keeping spirits up and eventually getting us some great action with some fierce Jack Crevalles. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Captain Jorge again. He’s an amazing captain and with him in your corner you’ll have your best shot at getting your dream fish.

We had heard from another boat that for the best fishing, extend the 4 hour trip to 6 hours so to catch fish near the Marietas islands.  The captain quickly agreed.  The three of us caught at least 4 albacore tuna each, and so our family of 8 had tuna all week!  The captain helped us with technique and was patient with us when needed.  The equipment was great.  A Great day overall, and id recommend 6 hours for a higher probability of success.  Finally the whale watching was an extra bonus!
