We booked a 2 hour fishing trip while in port on a cruise ship.  Miguel was amazing and for a mid afternoon charter had 3 tarpon hits and able to get one in the boat for photos. Fishing is always unpredictable but booking and communication throughout the entire process was on point with the company. Thank you for a great day.

This trip is well worth it. Nothing but good things to say about our guide Cody, coolest dude ever, and you can tell he has a love for what he does. The fishing was a little slow but we still had a great time out on the water. I recommend this charter service to anyone in the area who would like to fish Puerto Rico.

Bright and early on Christmas Day instead of rescheduling us when there was an accidental mistake in the schedule when it was supposed to be closed, they still took us out to go fishing, and the captain was fantastic. He was great with my son and explained extremely well how to properly catch tarpon. You can truly tell that this isn’t just a job to him, this is passion and that’s what makes it so much more fun. We would definitely do this again When we go back to PR!

We enjoyed a 2-hour trip just before Christmas. Our captain was one of few in the area who’d gone through the trouble to get live bait beforehand, which paid off! We caught tarpon and had an awesome time. Tarpon fishing was a new and unique experience for us, and our captain was very helpful in directing the movements to reel in this lively fish. Also nice to have some coverage in the boat for a brief drizzle! Definitely recommend and will be booking again next time we’re in PR.

Fishing with Captain Gaby and Backwater Tarpon PR was great. The trip started slow, but Capt Gaby kept working hard to put us on fish. He worked great with our kids and was really patient. We landed a few tarpon and a monster barracuda!  Really memorable trip.
