We had an afternoon trip in the red mangrove lagoon, and Captain Fernando catered the whole trip for our inquisitive 7 year old son. He had a life jacket in his size, and he even took us swimming at a sand bar!
We caught many fish, and almost caught two gigantic tarpons. Saw numerous wild birds and a manatee as well. It was a magical afternoon to say the least, all because of the kind, thoughtful captain. Thank you Fernando!

Captain Fernando was awesome! Great Dude, professional, helpful, patient and very knowledgeable about the area and feeding pattern of Tarpon. Put us on fish pretty much all day. I personally caught two, first one was about 40lbs but the second measured 65 inches and weighed between 108 and 115lbs! Fought it for 45 minutes. Great experience with Captain Fernando and I will never go again with any other Captain!

Had an awesome day fishing with Captain Luis.  He was kind, knowledgeable and put us right on the tarpon.  Taught us the proper technique to approach the tarpon in the lagoon waters.  Boat was clean and ready, with ample shade.  I believe it was about a 22’ center console with a 200 hp outboard.  Did not have to go far from the marina to get the fish.  Be mindful that if you enter the address the website gives you, it takes you to the wrong marina.  Best to just google maps “backwater fishing” and it will take you to the right spot.  Great day!

We caught three tarpon. The fish weren’t biting. Would have liked to catch more tarpon but that’s how it goes with fishing. Miguel was great! He tried really hard to get us more fish, was fun to have as our captain, was very nice and took us on a tour of the bay before heading back since the fish weren’t biting. Overall fun day

My husband and son, 24 yr old, had an amazing time! They are avid fresh water fishermen in MN,  my husband was a fishing guide at Lake of the Woods. This was their first backwater tarpon trip, they both landed fish, one 100+ lbs and the other 85+ lbs. They loved it! Would definitely recommend this Captain! Great time! Worth every penny. They did the early morning 4 hour trip, started at 6:15am.
