The communication was solid after we booked. We were concerned about thunderstorms (which happened when we were supposed to go out). First time my boys had been fishing on the ocean and it was a great time! We did an afternoon trip and had a really good time, we caught spanish mackerel, seabass, grunts, and ring fish. Captain Carson and first mate Roger were fantastic, couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Had an amazing time out on the water with Fish Hook Charters. Carson and Rodger were awesome super friendly , and really knew what they were doing. We caught tons of fish and even landed my first shark not the mention the whole 6 people on board caught one which was wild. Went out on the 7am 5 hour trip. Three in our party plus an additional party of two. Safety was explained prior to departure. Wonderful ride out to sea via the intercoastal. Solid 1.5 hours of trolling. All five caught fish. Mackerel, ringtail, bonito. At least 7-12 a piece. Ty the mate was on point. Had the gear ready to go. Fish off the hook quickly. I booked a 5 hour trip with the ‘Fish Hook ’ crew at the last minute after being at Myrtle Beach a couple of days into our stay here. The Captain was able to secure 2 spaces on a combination trip for me and my daughter. We managed to land a couple dozen combination of small blue fish and Spanish Mackerel, then 4 small sharks all within our 5 hours!! I will be booking with them again if ever on another Myrtle Beach vacation. The next time it won’t be a last minute thing…
