Background
I began fishing at a young age with my dad and uncles in farm ponds. With my background in education, I felt it was another way I could help people share in an activity that I enjoy. Casting is my Bread-and-Butter and a go-to tactic on the water. Outside of fishing, I work as a physical education teacher and coach. I also work part-time as a fireman. My friends and family have all been very supportive of my fishing career. I never would have gotten as far as I have without them. Not just in the fishing world, but in every aspect of my life.
Techniques
I prefer to use the technique that I know to be currently working. If there is a technique that you would like to learn, I would be more than happy to help you learn it. If there is a way you prefer to fish, I will make sure everything is present on the trip to meet your needs.

Just plain fun. Itโ€™s simple, relaxing, and brings you back to the basics โ€” a light rod, a jig, and a bobber are really all you need. The bites come often enough to keep things exciting, and thereโ€™s something satisfying about watching that bobber dip below the surface. A peaceful way to spend a day and enjoy the outdoors. I donโ€™t get many chances to get out on the water by myself, but this trip reminded me just how much I enjoy crappie fishing. Thereโ€™s something about it that takes you back to simpler times โ€” light rods, a jig, and a bobber can be a real breath of fresh air. I was out for about two hours and caught 14 good-sized crappies. If youโ€™ve never tried it, I highly recommend giving it a go. Walleye fishing has slowed. They are still being caught but it is more of a grind. Crappie and Blue Gill are being caught in numbers. Water temperatures has lowered and now is the time to catch a Musky on the Chain.
