Went out for full 12 hour day with Josh to get the most out of my first fishing experience in the Pacific Northwest. He was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable about the bay.  Set me up to catch a 25lb Halibut and some release Coho salmon. Awesome time, definitely good for both beginners and experienced fishermen. He even helped me cook up some of my fish and a crab since I’m at a hotel. The experience exceeded my expectation and I highly recommend fishing with Josh.

We had an amazing time with Hooked on Fishing Charters! We were in Victoria for my Bachelor Party and looking for some relaxing time on the water catching some fish! We found Josh and man what a found he was! We had an absolutely amazing time, caught some salmon and had the freshest dinner I have ever had right after! Josh was friendly, knowledgeable and just fun to be on the water with! Appreciate everything man and I can’t wait to come back for some more!

What a great time! Went out last year in August of 23’ with Captain Rose. Had an absolute blast. Been on a few charters before (mostly out east) and this was my first time on the West coast. Was mostly just a tag along in all my past experiences but I had such a good time and learned so much from Josh, the captain, that I decided to book another charter for this year. While I definitely didn’t have the experience that Josh did, he never made me feel inferior and made sure I was always comfortable and having a good time. Everything was very professional and top quality, including the banter we had out on the water. I don’t know if we were just lucky that day or if Josh just knew the spots, but we couldn’t cast a line without pulling something in. I was there for Halibut and my mission was more than accomplished. Will be coming back to catch me some fresh Salmon and can’t wait. Hopefully Captain Rose can deliver again! If you are near the area and want to try something new or are an experienced angler and just looking to let someone else handle the legwork I highly recommend Hooked on Fishing! You won’t be disappointed!

Joshua is a very personable and approachable captain with great experience and enthusiasm for fishing. He also brought 2 crab cages with him, so we fished not only for salmon but also for crabs. We spent the first 4 hours out at sea in fine weather but without catching anything. Only in the last half hour did a salmon bite. Joshua was almost happier about it than I was. The crab harvest was more than sufficient

I moved to the island with only the knowledge of freshwater fishing. After many attempts from shore I figured it was time to try further out. I was so happy to find captain Josh at hooked on fishing charters. His knowledge and experience not only helped me land a 17 lbs Chinook but he was great at teaching me how to do it. The price was better than anywhere I could find for a single person charter. 10/5 stars
