    They really do welcome kids!

    3 Hr Trip - Offshore Fishing PM • 4 adults • 2 children

    We went on the three-hour evening trip. Jordan was upfront that the day hadn’t been great yet (he was shutout on his previous two trips). That managed our expectations, but we ended up catching 3! Our 9 yr old has quite the personality and both Jordan and Parker not only tolerated him but entertained him. My only gripe is that it took a bit for either Jordan or Parker to really interact with us. Once they did it waa great. Well, that and the on-board restroom smelled really bad. Overall the kids enjoyed themselves and we made a memory we won’t be to duplicate. I would book again in a second.

    Great First Fishing Trip!!!

    2 Hour–Lighthouse/pier fishing tour • 6 adults • 4 children

    I really had no experience fishing in my life but wanted to see if it's something the kids would enjoy so booked this trip for my wife and 4 kids. It turned out way better than I could have imagined. We booked a 2 hour trip starting at 7 PM and it was a super easy process. We didn't have to bring anything and everything was taken care of by the crew. I let my kids ages 7-13 catch all the fish with the help of the crew. In total we caught 6 fish and lost another 5 that came off the line after reeling but before we could pull them in. All the kids caught at least 1 fish. So, all in all that seemed like pretty good action considering we weren't out there that long. I'd definitely recommend for anyone with kids even if you have zero experience.

    First and great trip!

    5 Hour Fishing Trip – Weekend • 4 adults

    We have never chartered a fishing boat before, we were a little nervous but tried this for the first time because one of us would go back to his country soon. One of his to do list in the US was this, and we did it! We got 3 big King salmon (bigger than 800mm, the biggest was 840mm!) and 1 middle size King salmon, and also 830mm size steel head! (6/21/2026) That was incredible and definitely worth chartering this FishGH! Captain is very kind and nice and also great teacher to tell us how to and what to do at the right timing! It was pretty fun!! Thank you!!

    Great trip!

    5 Hour Trip (AM) – Weekend • 3 adults

    Had a great trip with Captain Brian and Fish GH. We ended up catching 7 fish and had action throughout the morning. Brian worked hard to keep us on fish, explained what he was doing, and made the whole trip enjoyable whether you were experienced or new to salmon fishing. The boat was clean, the equipment was in good shape, and everything felt safe and professional. We had a lot of fun and learned a few things we can use on our own boat as well. I'd definitely recommend Fish GH to anyone looking for a good day on Lake Michigan and would book with Brian again

    Fishing with Brian

    2 Hour Trip – Harbor Fishing • 1 adult

    Overall I had a really fun time and enjoyed the experience out on the water. The crew was friendly, the ride was relaxing, and it was a good atmosphere for first-timers. My only disappointment was not catching any fish, especially after spending around $300. I understand fishing can be unpredictable, but I was hoping for a little more action or guidance to help improve the chances of catching something. Still, I appreciate the experience and memories from the trip.

Big king salmon have arrived

The large mature King Salmon have made their way to Grand Haven. Fishing has been excellent with catches in the double digits of 12-19 lb salmon on the morning trips becoming more common. These fish should stick around within a few miles of the harbor until they begin their annual spawning run in Mid August.

Excellent Chinook salmon action

We have been having some great trips recently with consistent chinook salmon bites throughout our trip. We have been catching many large salmon ranging from 12-19 lbs. from now until early September fishing should be excellent!

Amazing summer fishing

Our 2025 salmon season is in full swing! We are seeing great catches of large king salmon 13-19 lbs on average. Fishing has been in the 80-150 depth 2 miles or less offshore. We have had beautiful weather with warm mornings and calm seas!

Amazing spring Salmon action!

May has been excellent for our spring salmon season. We have been catching nice numbers of medium sized King Salmon 6-12 lbs. The water remains cold and there has been an abundance of salmon in shallow waters close to the harbor.

Monster Spring King Salmon!

There has been a good amount of medium to large King Salmon being caught this spring in shallow waters close to the harbor. The size and quantity of the salmon make us optimistic that it us going to be a great season!

Our morning 5 hr. Hardcore salmon trips have been producing some excellent catches. Late August though Mid September is the prime time to fish for these trophies. We have been having excellent results trolling plugs and spoons just outside the rivermouth in the shallow waters of Lake Michigan. This time of year it isn’t unusual to hook into a few of these beasts even on our 2 hr. Harbor fishing trips.
