The water has cooled down and fall is just around the corner. That means prime season for King Salmon has arrived. We have been catching large King and Coho Salmon in shallow water and the rivermouth the last week. The morning and afternoon trips have been producing excellent catches. We have been trolling a mixture of spoons and plugs and the action has been hot and heavy!

Fishing has been incredible just off of the Grand Haven coastline. There has been an abundance of large King Salmon, Steelhead and coho salmon in shallow waters 40-60 ft. We have been trolling primarily with spoons and flasher/fly combos. We have caught several kings over 20lbs. Already in July. August and September fishing should remain excellent.

We were able to complete the Great Lakes Grand Slam today! 5 different species all caught during one 7 hr. Ultimate Salmon Trip. We caught King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead and Lake Trout. Not only did we complete the Grand Slam our two customers limited out with 5 fish each!
