Great 6 hour trip with the Chumley crew! Free-lining Mahi on light tackle while bouncing bottom for some groceries. Ride out was slow due to swell but the ride in was glass. The Baird boys put it to them today. Kept their three drum and released a pile of pumpkins. Gators showed themselves with 2 citation fish @ 26” one of which did not revive despite plenty of resuscitation. Oh well sammiches it is. Kept another pair of 20” class fish for dinner and let the rest swim. A couple of blues and flounders released rounded out the morning. It’s gator season folks, legit shot at the fish of a lifetime.
