The nearshore fishing is turning on just in time for Spring Break. This is great time for a family trip. We are catching sheepshead around the oil rigs. These are fun to catch, good eating fish. This is a good time to take rhr kids on there first fishing trip.

This was a cold, rough day. The fish did not seem to mind. The spring sheephead run is getting started as the fish are moving onto the nearshore oil rigs to spawn. The fish will be good for the next several months for these tasty hard fighting fish.

The state water snapper fishing is still going strong. We are catching our snapper close to shore. The redfish have also been showing up at dixie bar. Fishing is fun and easy right now.
