I planned a trip up to the Lake Placid area as a surprise for my Boyfriends Birthday. Zac is one of the coolest people we’ve ever met. Not only was he a great teacher of fly fishing, he was also very educated about the area in general and had lots of fun stories to tell. We are already planning a trip back in May! We left our trip with Zac feeling like we had gained both a memorable experience and a new friend. See you soon Zac! Gabbi + Ben

Captain Zac was great! We went to LP in July so the water is a bit warm to catch the big fish and trout but he made this experience absolutely wonderful! He taught us about different rigs, lines and techniques. He gave us a great history lesson about the area and its lakes. He was so engaging and provided an exceptional experience. He’s a true native and loves what he does! We highly recommend chartering through him!

Zac took us out for a two hour evening trip with a 7 year old and a 12 year old who both love fishing. Zac brought us to a great spot and both kids caught a bunch of fish. It was a great experience. Zac is super nice, engaging and great with kids. We had a blast. We’ll be back and highly recommend this experience to anyone.

We took our young kids fishing with Zac and we had an awesome time.  He was so helpful and patient with the kids, especially since one was way more nervous than the other.  He took us to some great spots and we got so many fish.  He was very knowledgeable, affable, and kind.  Would recommend his company to anyone.  Thanks again Zac!

This trip offered a good blend of catch and release fishing along with getting to know the history and ecology of the lake. Captain Zach was both flexible and knowledgeable. It was a great trip for us as adults with limited fishing experience and I think Zach would be amazing for a family with kids.
