Yesterday morning, Gary booked a charter trip aboard Fishin Da Net wanting to learn more about how we fish for salmon on Lake Michigan here in Port Washington. He recently moved to the area from Washington state. He has lots of experience fishing salmon in the Pacific northwest but realized our fishing techniques here for salmon are quite different. Thus, he booked a charter to learn about the quirks we have here in Wisconsin. First mate Todd and I explained everything we did and the rationale behind our choices to coax the salmon to bite our lures. Gary said he enjoyed the trip and learned much while reeling in his limit of 4 king salmon and 1 coho salmon to Da Net! We also landed a bonus king salmon while reeling in lines at the end of the trip. Thanks, Gary, for booking the trip and good luck to you fishing here in Port Washington! Yesterday morning, Mike and his wife and three children stopped for a day in Port Washington after traveling from Georgia to experience what Lake Michigan has to offer. They battled some rough yet fishable seas and heavy rain during the ride back to the harbor to step up toe to toe with big king salmon and coho salmon. We ended up bringing 4 king salmon and 2 coho salmon to Da Net. The three biggest fish were all in the 15-17 pound range which means big salmon filets to feed the family for quite some time. Thanks, Mike for booking the trip! The king salmon are around and putting up great fights! Give me a holler to book your trip. After a big northeast blow yesterday, new to Fishin Da Net customer Michael rescheduled his charter he originally booked for Friday. We were blessed with much calmer seas than yesterday, and he was rewarded with a limit catch of 3 king salmon and 2 coho salmon. Thank you Michael for rescheduling for today, and I hope to see you again! We found active fish in 80-120 feet of water. Spoons and flasher & fly both took fish.

Late afternoon, on Saturday, June 7 new to Fishin Da Net charter customers Tanya, Connor, and Austin hopped on board to enjoy a charter fishing experience in Port Washington. They had a great time sharing stories and catching fish. They brought 12 coho salmon, 1 king salmon, and 1 rainbow trout to Da Net to bring home with them. We also released one small coho salmon to grow. Fish were caught on a variety of lures, including size 00 orange dodger with a peanut fly, 8 inch flasher with a fly, and spoons. Depths of 25-40 feet of water were what we targeted for the coho salmon. We moved to deeper water in 90-110 feet of water for the king salmon for the last hour of the trip. I have several dates available in June up until June 20th and then plenty of availability in July and August if you want to book a trip to experience the fun. Fishing in Port Washington is on fire right now! Limit catches of coho salmon with king salmon and rainbow trout in the mix are being caught consistently. I went out for an evening trip last night with a couple friends. We caught two beautiful king salmon around sunset after catching eleven coho salmon and a two rainbow trout. Book your charter fishing trip now while the fishing is great! I love to take kids fishing and try to teach charter customers a few tricks of the trade during out trip. I have availability this weekend Saturday morning (May 31) and Sunday morning and afternoon (June 1). I also have plenty of openings the first three weeks of June. Give me a holler to book your trip! Happy New Year! Recently, I went on a brown trout fishing trip on Lake Michigan in Port Washington, WI with my brother and a good friend. The brown trout were hungry! We kept our 3 man limit of 15 and caught and released the biggest brown trout of the day while winding in lines. Great fishing! Brown trout are great eating and fun to catch. I baked a couple of the fish we caught the other day and they were great tasting indeed! If you want to try fishing for winter or early spring brown trout, give me a call. These trips are available on the weekends weather permitting. I'm taking booking reservations for the offshore salmon and trout fishing season too that starts up in May. **hidden content** **hidden content**
