Charter trips are always my favorite thing when we go on vacation and I messed up booking this one. The owner of the business makes you pay the remainder of the trip cost up front before departure, typically charters have you pay after. You pay a deposit up front thats a fraction of the trip cost, the rest with tip after. I had to ask 3 times for a lifejacket and defend my position of wanting to not die, because I have kids over and over. We only caught 1 little puffer after 6 hours of fishing.... More

Yes, we do have customers pay prior to the trip which is industry standard. Rose Beiffuss had an issue with this right away which was a red flag for me and I’m not sure why this is such a big issue for her other than trying to get out of paying for the trip at the end. The remote for our trolling motor did stop working, so we drift fished and trolled most of this trip. The customers were fine with this during the trip and did not want to stop fishing or cancel the trip. Rose wore a life vest the entire trip and we provided her with an inflatable vest so she would be as comfortable as possible wearing a life vest for 6 hours of fishing. She was just advised that we would be fishing in shallow water of 3 feet or less and a life vest was not required, but she was welcome to wear one. She was overall very rude and seemed entitled. Very difficult customer from the start. We offered a full refund and she preferred to let the bad review stay instead.
