Hey Chad, I apologize for you not having a great experience with us.  I reached out to you asking to let me know what we could’ve done different to make the experience better but haven’t heard back from you.  I know the sea conditions got rougher than expected which made the fishing tougher, but we still were able to catch some decent fish even though having to throw back a lot. Please let me know.  I’ll do my best to resolve the issue.  I just need to know what the issue was.  Thanks.

Robin, I’m sorry you had a bad experience with us.  We are listed as a state boat on fishing booker which means we are only allowed to fish state waters until we get our federal permits back in the next few weeks. When you booked, I immediately sent you a message saying that the state season was closed, giving you the opportunity to cancel the trip and book a boat that is federally permitted. We high speed trolled out so you guys could have more time bottom fishing since that’s what you said you preferred.  Normally we would slow troll out.  After catching many trigger fish and not stuff that we could keep, I hurried to the place where we could catch pelagic fish that you could take home.  We had a mechanical issue on the boat.  I did everything I could to redeem the trip for you guys at that point while also looking out for your safety. We trolled back to the dock.  We stay on top of maintenance. In a work boat environment, sometimes these types of issues do arise that are out of our control.  When we got back to the dock, I refunded you right at half the money that was paid to us for the trip even though you were able to fish 4 out of the 5 hours. Again, I apologize we couldn’t have given you the stellar experience we give so many others.

Jason, I hate that you feel this way as I do go out of my way to make sure my customers have a good experience. That being said, I did explain to you on the phone about shark fishing and about that it is not guaranteed. We did everything we could to make that happen. I went as far as calling you to see if you’d like to leave earlier than was scheduled. I understand you had other obligations. I also explained to you why we only set 2 poles out for sharks. We weren’t out there to catch other fish. We were targeting a specific fish. Sharks. Had you booked another type of trip that is offered, I do believe you would have been much happier. If you decide to come back down and take a trip with us again I will make it worth your while.

Hey Michael, this has been the toughest fishing season I’ve ever seen.  That being said, it’s still fishing. We fished our hearts out, I burned the heck out of fuel to make something happen for you. We fished 9 different spots and boated 23 fish. We were only able to keep 3 red snapper and 1 big mangrove snapper.  We always do our best to put you on fish and keep you on fish during the trip.  I apologize for the bite being tough that day, but to give us a review like this is a bit unfair. I’m no god and I can’t make the fish bite every trip. All I can do is leave it all on the table for every charter to have every opportunity possible. We did that for you. I could understand if we didn’t make every attempt to make it happen for you, but you and I both know we did.
