Our annual barra season has opened at last. The 3 month wait is over. A great start and some awesome tides coming up

Return of good weather

The return of good weather and fishing conditions has helped our traditional winter struggle. More often than not the good fishing coincides with the good weather at this time of the year. We started our day the usual way gathering live herring,sardines and crunchy prawns. Soon after anchoring we were kept busy for the duration of the morning. Queenfish,Blue Salmon,Fingermark and a nice Barramundi. Happy customers and they had enough fish to feed the family for their barbeque later in the day.

I had fantastic day fishing with Justin. From the time he picked me up at the marina it was all business. Justin quickly netted some fresh live bait and we were soon on to the fish. We caught a range of species including Fingermark, Giant Trevally and Black Jewfish. Justin knew I wanted to do some lure fishing and we tied on some soft plastic vibes and caught more fish.
