Big Striped bass are settling into their summer haunts. I had a small group out last night on the 4 hour night trip. The fishing was great, the bite really turned on as soon as it got dark and we started marking alot of fish in shallow water. Top 3 fish of the night were 36โ€, 38โ€ and 42โ€ all on artificial 13โ€ eels.

Good mixed size of striped bass in shall

Good mixed size of striped bass in shallow water. Most of the time it seems striped bass travel with otherโ€™s around the same size. Tonight was a little different. The first 2 fish this family hooked into were slot size 30โ€ bass. After a couple more around similar size, the youngest daughter hooked into a healthy 44โ€ cow!
