Yes, we were fortunate enough to catch fish which is not always the case no matter where you’re fishing. Captain Johan and 1st mate Junior put my wife and I at ease before we even got on the boat. We went out for a three hour bottom fishing trip. In shore fishing to avoid the rough Aruban waters. My son (12) loves to fish and had an exceptional time. We caught fish the entire time. Everything from yellow snapper and mangrove snapper to triggerfish and a rainbow runner. Had barracuda stealing our catch as well! My family had a great time with a local positive vibe from the crew.  They not only got us on the fish but also shared local recommendations that ended up being the next highlight of our trip.  The captain even took his time to walk to the local restaurant to have our fish cooked.  We love that this crew has a long family history on the island and keeps the fishing tradition going!

This was our 5th time out on the Hooker and as always a wonderful time. Crew is friendly and super helpful .They always made sure we had bait,offered cold water and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Plenty of fish caught,dinner was delicious! Recommend highly

I have fished with several captains on the island and The Hooker was the best bottom fishing experience I have had.  Perfect trip for kids that want to have a pole in their hands and catch fish in calmer water instead of trolling in heavy seas and maybe never touching a rod. Captain and mate were friendly and helpful.  Caught a few dozen fish with several species.
