- Background
- I was born in the panhandle of Florida where fishing and playing in the ocean was a big part of my life. I moved to the Florida Keys when I was 15 and learned all aspects of commercial fishing for about 15 years from long-lining for Shark and Swordfish to Shrimp boats, net boats, Lobster and Crab boats and hook and line fishing for Snapper and Grouper. I have spent most of my life on the water. I have been in the Naples area about 15 years now. I spent 10 years in the Everglades National park as a captain and a naturalist guide, so I have extensive knowledge of the SW Florida Ecosystem. I have been captaining fishing for 6 years in and around Naples Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, but in total, I have been fishing the waters of SW Florida for the last 30 years. Through the many years of travel on the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, I had many adventures. One of them was rescuing Cuban refugees in the Florida Straits. I want to share my love and experience of fishing and boating with you.
- Techniques
- Mostly light tackle but I will use also heavy tackle as the need arises
